Did you ever imagine being able to sleep in a medieval tower? Well, in San Gimignano it’s possible to stay in a few tower-houses that have now been made into B&Bs or apartments, for guests who want to make their stay special in this magical Tuscan town.
The Guest House Nomipesciolini Tower is tapestry of history as is the whole town of San Gimignano. This tower-house dates back to the 13th century, but in the 8th century it was once the palace of King Desiderius (the Lombard Kingdom’s final ruler). An Etruscan tomb was also found in what is now the garden of tower-house, which is located in the entryway of the guest house.
This guest house located in the centre of San Gimignano, only a few steps away from the town’s famous cathedral. It offers two cosy apartments that are both fully furnished with a kitchen, dining area and a private bathroom. Amenities such as Wi-Fi, parking and air-conditioning are also included. Both rooms are luminous and welcome guests with their quaint decor and offer views of the medieval town. After a busy day of sightseeing and lots of walking guests can relax in the terrace and enjoy a beautiful panorama of the green Tuscan countryside.
